How to Book a Private Dog Park in New Zealand

Step 1: Find a park near you

Go to mydogpark.co.nz/listings and use the map or list view to find parks near your location. You can filter by park type (fenced, water features, agility equipment), radius from your location, and availability date.

Each listing shows photos, the size of the space, features, host reviews, and pricing. The exact address is kept private until you book — you'll see the suburb and a pin on the map.

Step 2: Choose a time slot

Parks are bookable in 30-minute or 60-minute slots. Select the date and time that works for you from the listing's availability calendar. If a slot is shown, it's available — no need to wait for host approval.

Step 3: Pay securely

Payment is handled through Stripe — the same secure payment platform used by Airbnb, Shopify, and thousands of NZ businesses. You pay in NZD. No foreign exchange fees.

Prices vary by listing. Typically NZD $20–$60/hour, depending on the size and features of the park. Multi-dog pricing may apply.

Step 4: Get access instructions

Once your payment is confirmed, you'll receive the exact address and access instructions directly from the host — usually a gate code or key lockbox combination. You'll also get a reminder email an hour before your booking.

Step 5: Arrive and enjoy

Arrive at your booking time. Let yourself in (using the access instructions), close the gate behind you, and let your dog off the leash. The space is yours exclusively for the duration of your booking.

Please clean up after your dog, close all gates when you leave, and leave the space in the condition you found it.

• Water bowl and water (some parks have water on-site — check the listing)
• Treats and toys for training or play
• Your booking confirmation email (for gate code reference)
• Your dog's lead (for arrival and departure)

Cancellation policy

You can cancel your booking directly from your bookings page. Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance receive a full refund. Between 24–48 hours, you'll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking are non-refundable.
